You will need to attach the brake away switch to the baseplate (also know as the tow bracket) or on the front bumper of the vehicle. There is a electrical wire with plug is then feed through the engine compartment (avoiding moving parts and high heat areas) and then feed through the firewall to the drivers compartment. Most vehicles have a rubber plug in the firewall to feed wires from accessories such as this easily. You will want to run it to the left side of the foot well for easy access when towing.
